Our Journey to Chennai

 Our Journey to Chennai     Today in school, I was waiting for our teacher to come .  As soon as we came to class from our assembly, my teacher came.  I said to her that I was taking leave the following two days (11-12 June 2015).  My teacher said 'Okay' and I was overjoyed.  The previous day evening, my grandmother bought a dress for me and said that it was for my birthday, and my mother bought a purse for me and for my brother. She also helped us pack up our luggage for the next day travel and she left for Chennai on 09 June 2015.   We left for Chennai on 10 June 2015, leaving our grandmother at home .  But on 11 June 2015, my cousins and aunt were coming to house to accompany our grandmother.  We began our journey at 8:35 pm by train.  When the train started moving, we called our grandma over phone and said that the train had started moving.  When the train started moving fast, I felt sleepy.  My fat...

It was when the whole of London was under the threat of fighter planes.   Peter, Susan, Edmund and Lucy were lying in the bed holding each other out of fear while their parents were talking about a safer place to send the children.   Finally they decided to send them to the Professor’s house.   While Peter, Susan, Edmund and Lucy were in the Professor’s house they were exploring the huge house.   When they came to an empty room where there was only a wardrobe, Lucy was very curious to see what was inside.   She noticed soft folds of coats and she felt something like mothballs under her feet.   As she went inside she felt snow under her feet and snowflakes falling over her, as she was in the middle of the forest at nightfall.

A Visit to Marina Beach

Marina Beach, Chennai One day in the summer holidays, we decided to go to Chennai.  We dressed neatly and then we were ready.  We took water bottles and snacks to eat on the way to Chennai.  We went by car and saw many mountains and lakes on the way.  It took a long time to reach there.  We were tired of our journey.  After reaching there, we drank water and juice.  We stayed in a hotel.  The next day we decided to go to the Marina Beach and I was exited.  There were two bedrooms and a hall in front of the rooms.  To the left side of the hall, there was a kitchen.  Inside each bedroom there was a television and a bed.  But in one room, there was a table and a mirror.  My brother and I occupied the first room.  My father, mother and grandmother occupied the second room, as there was a mirror.  After taking rest, we went to the seaside.  I saw huge waves, one after the other lashing the shore, and th...

Birthday Party - Picture drawn for my school Magazine Today, I completed drawing this picture for my school magazine.   It took two days to complete the picture.  I have already given one picture for magazine, a couple of days ago.  I wish at least one of my pictures would be published in my school magazine.

Children's Day Celebration in My School

Today was a special day, as it was Children's Day.   I was happy that today at school we would celebrate Children's Day.  I was the first child to go to my class.  After we had our lunch, our teacher let us do whatever we wanted to do.  We were very happy.  In the eighth period, our teacher told us to form a line and to to the Main Assembly Hall.  I had lots of fun with my friends.  Our teachers performed many dances, skits and songs.  After the programme was over they gave us a Milky Bar chocolate to each of us.

Won First Prize

First Prize for the competition, 'Finishing Touches' at VMJ School, Madurai Today was holiday but being selected to participate in the competition 'Finishing Touches' at Laskshana and Oviya, I had to go to school.  I wore my new dress and went to school.  After reaching VMJ school, I went to the staff room.  The staff there asked me to go to V 'B' Class.  I went there and gave finishing touches to a story.  I wrote a lot.  Then I went and sat where they had the programme. I was so happy when they announced that I got the first prize.

Kodaikanal Trip

  Mother Going to Church       This is the Church we attended   Another view of CHRIST THE KING Church Anna Botanical Park, Kodaikanal   Beautiful Flowers in the Botanical Garden       A Panoramic View of the Botanical Garden Today we got up at 4 am and wore new dress and proceeded by car to Kodaikanal.  We started from home around 6 am and arrived Kodaikanal around 10:30 am.  When we reached our place of stay, the caretaker opened the compound gate for us to park our car inside. Then we went inside the cottage and it was quite spacious.  I removed my slippers but since it was chill, I wore them again.  Then we went walking for lunch to Tibetan Restaurant.  There my father had beef fried rice and momo (made of minced beef and onion).  My mother had two chapatis and my brother and I had noodles.  I could not eat all the noodles and so I gave the rest to my mother and father...
